Summer 2017 Recap

What a whirlwind this summer has been! I think summer 2017 will go down as the fastest and simultaneously the slowest summer ever. We went so many places and we accomplished a lot, but at times it dragged as well.

This year, just like last summer, we spent the bulk of our time in San Antonio. The week after we left our friends got the storm warnings for Harvey, but lucky for them the storm took a different course. My heart hurts for the people affected, I've been falling into social media holes for hours just watching coverage of the hurricane. Living in Texas for the short time we did gives me complete faith in Houston's ability to rebound and rebuild. Texan pride is so strong and the people are tough.

Anyways, my summer was composed of store stuff (mailing packages, selecting inventory, attending market shows), friend's babies, occasional BBG workouts, library trips, traveling, and swimming.
I think I've been pretty consistent with blogging our adventures, so I am just going to list and link them here!

Places We Went & Things We Did
Celebrated our anniversary in Las Vegas
Attended my Cousin's Wedding in Utah
Hiked Angels Landing in Zion's National Park
Magnolia Silos in Waco, Texas
Visited the beach at Corpus Christi, Texas
Lake Powell

mingled with a small amount of work hahaha. We traveled more than I expected to so I was happy for that! I think we can safely say that we milked the break for all it was worth. And although we are sad summer is ending, we take comfort in the fact that we are going back to school for the last time! Tayler and I will graduate in April. Which makes the summer ending even a little sadder, because outside of student life summer breaks don't really exist. Haha hellloooo real world.
