I Can't Remember Weekends

Does anyone else show up to work on Monday and when the mandatory "how was your weekend" question comes up you totally blank and can't recall a single notable event from the weekend?

This happens to me literally every dreaded M day. So I've decided it would be good to write myself a little weekend review on the blawg every week, so my life doesn't pass by entirely without a single weekend remembered.

So here are three big things that happened:

1. I found out my sister Stevie is superhuman. Yep, this is my NINE POUND SIX OUNCE nephew Grant who arrived by natural birth on Saturday. We knew he'd be large, but the fact that he waited 3 days past his due date really helped him beef up his figure.

Welcome to the world newest nephew:) Your love of cozy places and easy food supply will help you fit in well in this world. Also in love with Presley's face as she held her new little brother. Like what in the world is happening to me.

Why are Crook babies so big?! All 3 brothers of mine were 9+ lb, my little sister was 10, and now my sis is popping out 9 pounders! It makes me a little worried for the size of our future babes. Moms are tough.

2. I started reading More Than the Tattooed Mormon by Al Fox. Tayler and I were lucky enough to attend her book signing on Tuesday, and it was a dream come true to meet her. She's so happy and so genuine. She has a special confidence that only comes from knowing you're living a life approved by Heavenly Father. Since her book is all about her journey of coming to Christ, I thought it'd be a great Christmas read!

3. Tayler got us all prepped and ready for Christmas. Lights on our basement "roof" (see below) and an extremely empty Christmas tree standing up in our living room. We each have a few ornaments of our own from childhood, but other than that...eh:) Somehow I forgot to put Christmas ornaments on our wedding registry. Anyone know of a good/cheap place to stock up?

Regardless of our empty tree, we are sure excited for this upcoming holiday season! I'll have my first opportunity to contribute a dish to Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, so feel free to send a little prayer/good vibes my way.

Have a great week, and enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday:)
