Boo Zoo

Halloween has always been a holiday that I enjoy, but as I've gotten older it has become harder and harder to celebrate it. This year I felt like I was patiently waiting for an invite to someone's amazing Halloween party, but still the church trunk or treat was the only thing on our itinerary. So I decided to find something worth dressing up for!

My sweet friend Kim told me about Boo Zoo, a trick or treating event at the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake. We dressed up our cute Peter Pan in a $5 costume I got off of Facebook marketplace, we borrowed a pirate costume for Tayler, and I bought a Mimi's Gown that I've been eyeing for a while. Wendy, Captain Hook and Peter Pan were ready!

Drives are a wild card with this one year old but he did great the whole hour drive. He had SO MUCH FUN running around, sticking his hands in the leaves and climbing on the benches and gates. The trick or treating part didn't click for him but I was happy to take the candy for his sake. A lot of the animals were in for the winter, but we did get to see a fox that Oliver loved and some sleepy lions.

We are excited to make Boo Zoo a family tradition!
